The Record Production Class at UCLA Extension

After eleven years, John Boylan has taken an extended administrative leave from teaching his popular course at UCLA. The course, Record Production I, Designation X 448.6 will be taught by another instructor. The class includes a field trip to a working recording studio, special industry guests, and lots of audio-visual presentations. As of the fall of 2008, John has been teaching a Master Class in Songwriting (MUS 162) at Citrus College in Glendora, CA. That class will be taught again in 2011, and will be augmented by two other music industry-related classes: REC 145 - Critical Listening for Sound Engineers, and REC 245 - Careers for Sound Engineers in the Music Industry.
